Custom Surround |
| We wanted a custom surround made for our Cascade and fireplace and couldn’t find a local vendor wanting to help. When I called Kuma, I felt immediately that we were going to be taken care off. I worked with Jason and his team with measurements and style, and when we received the projduct, it was spot on! We are so pleased with the product, it was made in a timely manner, reasonable price but most of all the customer service was OUTSTANDING!! Thank you Kuma stoves!! | |

Using Much Less Wood |
| Professional installation went well and very satisfactorily. I am very pleased with the operation of the Cascade LE. It is very easy to control the burn rate and temperature. This fireplace insert burns very efficiently and completely and provides enough heat to easily heat the whole house at 1600 sq ft. I would say we are easily using less than a quarter of the amount of wood that was used with the fireplace and heatilator. Wonderful design, good looks and operation exceeds all of my expectations. | |

Purchased the Cascade fireplace insert from Heartland Chimney Sweeps in October this year. Here is my review of the unit: PROS: 1. Nice looking unit installed 2. Like the damper control for the fire. 3. Like the catalytic process for the smoke bypass. 4. I think Kuma has the best warranty on the market. CONS: 1. The firebox is too small--needs to be a firebrick wider and about 3-4 inches higher-hit the top of the box every time you put wood in. 2. Needs a deeper lip in front as it does not hold much coals or ashes; have to empty ashes after every 48-60 hour burn time-that for me mean every other day. The old insert that it replaced only had to be emptied 3-4 time in 6 months. 3. Needs a larger fan system-has a variable fan speed switch but have had it on the high speed since the first fire. There is so much pent up heat in the stove but fan air volume is not large enough to move the air to get the heat out. The unit is listed to heat 2800 square feet but at what outside air temp. Heating about 900 feet now but do not think it will adequate at winter cold temps. the insert is used as our primary heat in the winter. Burning good Doug Fir wood. Been around wood stoves all my life-80 yrs. 4. Need to have an option of not having glass in the door--just another thing to clean every other day. I think the old Sequoia model may be be better. I replaced an old fabco with this unit-- got a lot more heat out it-would run you out of house. Kuma could make a 5 star unit with improvement. Wish I could see the Sequoia model. |

The new gathering place for my family--we all LOVE it |
| This is the highest rated stove listed on EPA's website, so I was interested but unsure how it would work in reality. After a month of burning all types of wood, along with compressed fire bricks, and I am SO happy with not just the product, but the incredible customer service! I had this installed by an authorized dealer and there was an issue that turned out to just be an over-tightened screw, but the attention that Kuma gave to it was far above what I'm used to. I have 2 other fireplaces that will be Kuma-only should I opt to upgrade those in spring after my first winter in this new home. I have wood cut anywhere from 14" to 18", and they all fit easily into the box. This Cascade fireplace stove insert has already become a focal point for the whole family. We used to gather in the living room on the 1st floor, but I've found we all gather in the basement now in front of the fire--it's beautiful, practical, well-built, and backed by a great company. I couldn't ask for more | |

Quincy Hot Spot has a great team! They took out the broken 1985 insert, installed my beautiful new Cascade, taught me to use it, and left everything immaculate! The flames are beautiful. I lit a fire at 6:00 this morning - come home at 7:30 pm with coals still glowing in a warm house! |

This wood stove is amazing, I am very impressed and satisfied. Up here in Alaska I am burning mostly Spruce and Hemlock. It will burn for hours and puts out a phenomenal amount of heat, no problem heating our whole house. Literally no smoke comes out of the chimney, all that is visible is heat waves. Definitely a high efficiency stove. I highly recommend. |
